I am definitely one of those people who (mainly 😉 ) goes by the saying ‘less is more’. When it comes to fashion, beauty, accessories and interiors, I love all things simplistic! Simplisity means you can build and layer things up to your hearts content, a rule which I definitley like to abide by!
These rings from Nikki Stark really are nothing short of stunning! She makes a variety of understated, chic pieces that will compliment the most subtle or flamboyant personalities! I personally love the classic designs of these, meaning you can layer them up as midi rings and wear loads, or tone it down and wear to accompany a few bolder pieces. As you can see I also experimented putting them with other rings to show you how versatile they are! I particularly love the orbit rings, I have been arranging them on my hands whenever I get bored, there’s so many ways you can wear them! The delicate design has mean’t they have become an everyday staple to my finger party, so no doubt you will be seeing them well and truely glued to my hands! If you fancy nabbing some of these adorable pieces for yourselves, head over to the website here, where there are loads of beautiful collections, necklaces, all hand made in the UK, which is something that I really appreciate!
What are your rules when it comes to jewellery? Do you mix your metals and wear all your rings at once, or let a few statement pieces do the talking?
Shirt – H&m Silk Shorts – H&M Lace ups – Primark Sunglasses – Primark
Lace ups are huge this season. Like, they are everywhere! I have been lusting over pairs for months, mainly nude heeled versions, but I wanted to grab something that I could wear on a day to day basis. I have seen a variety of black, flat versions but I’ve never found ‘the ones’. I find sometimes high streets like to jazz ups pieces too much with metal embellishment, buckles, studds, sparkles – you name it! When sometimes, simplicity is way more interesting! After scouring shops these Primark ones were actually my favourites! They’re so simple and I love the structure, plus, for £10 what have you to lose? Obviously these won’t be a ‘shoe for life’ because yes, they’re from Primark and also the design of the shoe isn’t really durable, so after a few years they will inevitably have to be binned! I don’t usually tend to pop in to there, only purely because it is usually insanely busy! But recently I have been seeing so many bloggers grabbing some adorable things from there, from pineapple candles to these sunnies! (Which I am obsessed with!) I always find when you want to treat yourself but are trying to be thrifty, Primark always does the job, you just might need to surf over the generic items to find something special!
I paired my lace ups with a super, simple outfit of my favourite blue shirt and these little silk shorts, both a summer staple for me because they work day/night and you can layer them up! I think the basic outfit emphasizes the shoes!
What have you guys been pairing your lace ups with?
Jacket – New Look T shirt – Hollister Denim jeans – Topshop Shoes – Schuh Bag – Ebay
Warmer weather calls for lots of light, build-able layers, so you can comfortably run about your daily errands! The sun may be shining, but I am definitely not ready to make the transition into summery, bright, colours and prints, so here I stand still rocking neutrals, monochrome and greys! I love being able to prance around in a light tee and a jacket and not be freezing my little butt off! There’s something about spring and being able to roll out of bed, chuck on an ensemble and step outside that is so laid back and effortless! Also how amazing are these Chanel – esque Espadrilles! I purchased these in Schuh last year around the end of summer/autumn time, so I didn’t get much wear out of them. I was super excited to crack them out now that the weather is warmer! What is your one item of clothing/accessories that you get excited about wearing during summer?

Vest top – H&M Jacket – New Look Jeans – Topshop Slip on shoes – Carvela Bag – Ebay Sunglasses – H&M
Two things that have been on my wish list for a while were this pair of leopard print Carvela slip ons and a new pair of jeans! Due to saving up for a new car I have been really trying to cut back on my spending, working in the city always means there is tempatation! My lovely dad came to my shopoholic rescue when he treated me and my sister to a little daddy daughter shopping trip!
Intinctively the first shops I hit were Topshop and TK Maxx to get these ‘essentials’! Topshop seems to be the only place I can find jeans that fit nicely, are the right leg length and have nice styles, but other than that I actually don’t usually get a great deal from there, but it is always my go to store for denim – as it is a lot of girls! A while back I bought a pair of the ‘Jamie’ model in a gorgeous dark grey with ripped knees, so this time I decided to again go for ‘Jamie’ as I have found that it’s my favourite style. I also have a few pairs of ‘Joni’ but I found that these were a little bit too thin and so didn’t hold the shape well and wore out very quickly! These feel like they will last a lot longer than previous pairs just like my other pair of this style has! By the way does anyone else always get remarks, mostly from ‘older’ people or relatives jokingly asking why I have brought a ripped pair of jeans and that ‘they could rip them just as well themselves’. Does no one ‘get’ personal style anymore? Mocking someones outfit or what they wear is my pet hate, each to their own right?
Shoe wise, I will always have soft spot for a bit of leopard print, and that is saying something because I don’t usually do prints! I was putting off buying these for ages in case I wouldn’t like them after a few months, but after lusting after them for agesss and still loving them I finally caved in! Plus when they were £89 down to £29 it would be rude not to! I think they add a fun edge to an outfit, also hence why I opted for the ultimate simplistic combo of a white tee and jeans. The day of this shoot was so deliciously warm for England so I cooked up a huge family barbecue to celebrate spring and all of the lovely fashion delights to be worn!
What are your spring/summer essentials? Mine is this vest top, it is such a lovely soft Jersey material and really long and slouchy, so I can rock it over a bikini, with shorts or tucked into jeans like I have done here!
Denim shirt – Vintage Levi’s Jeans – H&M Beanie – H&M Boots – Next Sunglasses – H&M
So I have finally spent the last of my vouchers from Christmas and my birthday ( I think I did very well to make them last that long!) My last voucher left was for Next, I am always lusting after their shoes so I definitely had to use it on them! I went to Bristol for a casting recently so made a day out of it and went to Cabot Circus for a little spree! Despite having a huge array of boots I always manage to find ones that I convince myself that I need! Anyone else guilty of this?! I love their Heels, bags and lingerie, as well as their home interior range however I clocked these and knew they would get a good wearing!
At first I wasn’t too sure on them, I love cut out booties (Mind you I’m struggling whether to call these shoes or boots?) but due to unpredictable English weather I have strayed away from them before at the thought of cold and wet feet! After trying these on a few times I really loved the simple and modern structure of them, as well as the fact they would look great both in spring, summer and even winter. (weather granting!) The fact the heel height is literally perfect was the thing that sealed the deal! Small enough for every day yet with a bit of height to boost my teeny tiny frame at night! I also picked up this bargain beanie for £2 at H&M, which I love because I think with these kind of beanies you can wear through till spring as not only do they look cool, but they hide bad hair days and keep your hair from flying in your face on windy days 😉
Anyway I could yap all day long about boots and beanies, if you like the look of these beauties you can check them out here
, definitely have a cheeky browse through their shoe selection – you will not be disappointed, especially when it comes to value for money!
