“THERE’S A FEW THINGS THAT ARE A TOTAL MUST-HAVE FOR ME IN A HOTEL, AND THIS ONE TICKS THEM ALL AND MORE”

Hotel stays for me, will always be a fun occasion – even if it’s just a budget hotel before a flight, there’s something about staying away that generates excitement within me, to rival a 5 year old at Christmas. Me and my fave girl Emma from The Emasphere , stayed here together for a couple of busy days in town and amongst a hectic schedule, Hotel Indigo was a much needed refresh, a place to relax and indulge in our surroundings (and the killer Italian downstairs!)

When it comes to hotels, I have a few things I look for, but not the Kardashian-esque budget to accompany my list! I like to seek out places of affordable luxury, something that offers an indulgent stay, without the purse, busting price tag. I also like to feel welcomed, comfortable and have someone to ask for advice about the local area, should I want suggestions! And of course, it wouldn’t hurt if it happened to be incredibly instagrammable as well 😉

THEO’S SIMPLE ITALIAN DOWNSTAIRS PROVIDED A LUXE, CHILLED ESCAPE FROM THE BUSTLING CITY, ALL THE CLICK OF A LIFT BUTTON AWAY FROM YOUR ROOM!

This was probably my favourite part of the whole hotel – the restaurant – Theo’s Simple Italian (also where breakfast is served) is situated downstairs, just after the reception desk and offers a luxurious, stylish setting for afternoon coffee, lunches, champagne catch ups and dinner. We were admiring the interiors all evening – from the tiled floors, glass lights and comfortable, leather booths. It welcomes you in and creates such a warm, relaxed atmosphere we really didn’t want to leave. We decided to grab our laptops and stay for hours, soaking up the atmosphere and editing images. The staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming, and were great at suggesting wines and food. Me and Emma sat people watching all evening and shared stories over courgette fritters, bruschetta and a delicious glass (or 3!) of red. I’d return in a heartbeat and can recommend the breakfast, an afternoon coffee and dinner all equally and with high regards! They also run pasta masterclasses (something we’re keen to go back and try!) The food, alongside staff, and stunning, ambient interiors all made this probably one of my fave Italian spots in London so far.

THE ROOMS AND BATHROOMS WERE STYLISH,

COMFORTABLE AND ELEGANT WITH THE ADDED BONUS

OF A DELICIOUS BOTTLE OF GIN AWAITING US!

THE BEST AVOCADO ON TOAST I’VE EVER HAD (FROM A SELF CONFESSED ADDICT)

It’s not lightly that I make that statement; but the avocado and poached eggs were truly some of the best! I find hotel breakfasts one of the most exciting parts of a stay, and the selection of things to fuel you up for the day did not disappoint! We juiced, coffee-d and were well set up for a busy day. (they even made me a delish latte to go when I had to rush off – which was a warm welcome!)

There was A LOT to choose from – continental pastries, cereals, musli and cheeses, to boiled eggs, toast, porridge and a huge menu of freshly made to order breakfasts! I opted for the menu whilst emma sampled the continental, each was delicious and all served in the beautiful restaurant, again, being catered for whatever you needed.

THINGS I LIKED:

  • Great value for money and not overpriced
  • Very beautiful decor and settings – perfect for snapping up some great photos.
  • Staff were very helpful, warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
  • Only a couple of minutes walk from Earls Court Tube station (so perfect like me if you have a lot of luggage – no lengthy walks!)
  • Guests have complimentary access to Soho Gym outlet within 30 meters
  • Loved the relaxed, luxe atmosphere in the restaurant downstairs – perfect for a bottle of wine, Italiant nibbles or grab your laptop for an evening work session, good drinks and chats! Such a lovely place to relax in before retiring to your room.
  • Great Wifi and available pretty much around the whole hotel
  • Dog friendly, so perfect for bringing your fave companion along.
