“I’VE ALWAYS LOVED THEIR PREMIUM PACKAGING, YET THE PRODUCTS ARE ACTUALL AFFORDABLE AND DELIVER WAY BEYOND THEIR PRICE TAG – SO HOW WOULD THIS NEW COLLECTION FARE?”

It’s not often a new product will drop and force me to stop everything, photograph them to within an inch of my life (How can you not with those pink compacts and petal infused lip oils!) and spend all afternoon painting my face with them. I’ve been a huge fan of Kiko Milano since I heard people rave about their lipstick rivalling a very popular, much pricier brand. I headed into their Covent Garden store to check out the fuss and was instantly sold.

So naturally, when the new Kiko Waterflower magic collection launched and hit my doorstep, I was excited to see how they delivered. I’ve always loved how their packaging is so premium, yet the products themselves are affordable and also deliver a finish far beyond their price tag (You all know I’m a sucker for a steal) – so how does this collection fare? Here’s my thoughts!

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITES

As much as I adore the whole collection, I definitely have 3 distinctive favourites that have now become firm, handbag staples. First up, the Waterflower magic nourishing lip oil; if the name didn’t tug at your beauty junkie, heart strings enough, the packaging and formula will. Enriched with a fresh bouquet of flower petals (this unashamedly caught my eye in the first instance – how beautiful do they look!) it’s delicately scented and glides onto your lips to look like a fresh gloss, but nourishes like an oil or a balm. This one never leaves my side. Next, the Kiko Waterflower magic blush. I’ve got mine in ‘pink shiver’ and not only is it super pigmented (a little goes a long way with this one!) the compact mirror means it’s fab for on the go. I actually used this on my eyes here too, as I think the colour is absolutely beautiful!

Lastly in the faves department; The Kiko Magic Highlighter palette. With a creamy highlighter, a powder highlighter, sparkling blush and illuminating powder to sculpt your face and make those cheekbones pop. It’s definitely one to take away for holiday or travel, as it has so many products in one. At first, I thought this was one for nights out, because of the glam finish of the highlight, but after a couple of hours of wear it seemed to melt into my skin to form a beautifully, natural, looking glow.

“FOR ME, I WANT MAKEUP THAT MAKES ME FEEL GOOD, IS AFFORDABLE, DELIVERS ABOVE AND BEYOND, AS WELL AS LOOKING PRETTY, DAMN, CUTE IN YOUR HANDBAG!”

HIGHLY PIGMENTED AND INCREDIBLE QUALITY FOR THE PRICE POINT

I‘m yet to try the mascara or magic foundation pigment drops (tempted, as they sound amazing!) but the eyeliner did not disappoint! It has an angled tip but not like anything I’ve tried before. It glides on and is difficult to mess up as it’s so precise. I was also very surprised by how strong the pigment was, as I always find that typically, more affordable eyeliners tend to be a bit ‘wishy, washy and transparent.’

The Waterflower Magic vinyl lip lacquer (wearing ‘silky sand’ here) is comfortable on the lips, is beautifully smooth and creamy to apply and again, has incredibly impressive pigmentation for a more affordable lip product! (I’m not surprised somehow, as their lipsticks got me hooked in the first place!)

PLAY WITH THE VERSATILITY

If you couldn’t already tell; my general consensus was that I went mad for the range (I did literally stop what I was doing when they arrived, as I felt like they embodied everything I love about makeup!) It falls nothing short of the amazing experience I’ve had so far from the other Kiko Cosmetics I’ve tried. I loved playing around with the products and seeing how I could use them in other ways, such as the blusher for eyeliner and the lip oil for a beautiful, glossy finish to the eyelids (Im SO doing this again!) Similarly, the lip lacquers are so bendable, I’m sure you could also use them as a cheek tint, and that, is why I love their products. Versatile, fun and they don’t disappoint! (Let’s be honest, there’s nothing worse than something that doesn’t live up to your expectations!) I’d love to know if you want to see more beauty reviews like this, as I really enjoyed this one and hope it helps if you were thinking of purchasing!

I had SO MUCH fun shooting this, as I was so inspired by the packaging! Would love to know if you’ve ever tried Kiko before or what your favourite brand is! This post was not sponsored. I was kindly sent the products as a PR gift, but was no way inclined to post about them.
